I just wanted to say a few kind words about the wonderful team at Cancun Dental Specialists. I spent 10 days in January 2016 getting the first half of my much needed dental work done. I will hopefully go back at the end of May to finish. So far, I've had a root canal which was painless; 2 extractions and 4 implants placed. This would be completely out of my financial reach in the states. Also, no dentist here in the states will come to my home, pick me up for my appointments then drive me back home when I'm done. In January, when the northeast corner of the US is dark and cold, Cancun is a warm and sunny paradise. I can't wait to come back and have my 19 crowns placed and give an even better review! Thank you :-)

I had an amazing experience when I visit the clinic to get removed all of my wisdom teeth a month ago and seriously, I can not be more delighted with all the work that the people from the clinic and specially Dr. Omar Lugo and his assistant did. Even though I was really nervous and one of the teeth was really close to the nerve, everything went by very smoothly because of the high efficiency of everybody. You can feel that it is a very organized place and they know for sure what they are doing. I'm really happy with my results and with the empathy of everybody.

This was my third visit to Ocean Dental. I have had an implant, root canal, extraction, cleaning, and check up. the dental equipment was extremely modern, like none I've seen in Canada. There are even spa lights on the ceiling above your dental chair to ease anxiety.. The staff are amazing, very professional and friendly. It is a happy atmosphere. My dental work is beautiful, I am so pleased with my smile. The first time I visited Ocean dental, I came from Canada as a lone female. I stayed in cancun ( the dental office will assist you with accommodations if necessary). I felt safe and secure. The drivers are always on time to pick you up from your hotel, and take you back. They also provide airport transportation. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ocean dental. On top of it all, I was able to have my dental work done, stay in beautiful cancun for less than I would pay for just the dental work alone in Canada. Thank you to all the staff, see you in November.

Dental Emergencies in Mexico Review - Ocean Dental Cancun

This was my third visit to Ocean Dental. This time it was an EMERGENCY, as I had an abscessed molar and was in pretty much constant pain. The dentist in Calgary said it would be a complicated procedure because it was an old root canal with a post in it. The root canal alone was quoted at $3,000, NOT including the crown. I called Ocean Dental on Wednesday, and they made an appointment that same Saturday! So I made my short-notice travel arrangements and headed down. It turned out that ANOTHER molar was also in need of a root canal and crown (something my dentist in Calgary didn't notice). I got both root canals and crowns done for $2,000USD and was back in a week. I stayed in Hostel Moloch near the main bus station in Cancun, and easily took the bus to my visits, though they offered to pick me up. I enjoyed a nice, low-key visit to the charming city of Cancun, with trips to Isla Mujeres, and the fabulous beach Playa Delfines, all for about HALF of what my dental work would have cost in Canada, including airfare and accommodations. I'm looking forward to my next toothache! Lol.

First part of the work was done in January 2016 and it was completed the second trip in May 2016.

This was the best dental experience of my life. It's worth noting that Cancun is very safe even outside the Hotel Zone. We stayed at a nice gated apartment/condo with 2 bedrooms/3 beds, 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer, full kitchen, living room, dining room, 2 flatscreen TVs, a balcony and a pool. Walking distance to grocery stores and mall. It was around $100-$115/per night.

Ocean Dental picked us up at the airport and took us to all our appointments FREE of charge. Be kind and tip your driver :-)

To begin with, the staff was wonderful answering my call at 6:30 in the evening and setting up an appointment the very next morning. Irma went out of her way to accommodate my procedure, which was a bond replacement, by opening the office earlier than normal business hours. She was able to quickly identify my issue and get right to work. She was extremely professional, friendly and most of all, fixed my tooth and smile. She was very patient in making sure the tooth was perfect, down to every detail including the match, length, feel and bite of my newly replaced bond. I would recommend anyone who is simply in Cancun for a vacation and needs emergency dental work, do not hesitate to make that appointment. I most likely will return on a periodic basis to assist with my future dental needs. Thanks again!!
