I just wanted to say a few kind words about the wonderful team at Cancun Dental Specialists. I spent 10 days in January 2016 getting the first half of my much needed dental work done. I will hopefully go back at the end of May to finish. So far, I've had a root canal which was painless; 2 extractions and 4 implants placed. This would be completely out of my financial reach in the states. Also, no dentist here in the states will come to my home, pick me up for my appointments then drive me back home when I'm done. In January, when the northeast corner of the US is dark and cold, Cancun is a warm and sunny paradise. I can't wait to come back and have my 19 crowns placed and give an even better review! I wanted to have an implant rather than the bridge my dentist suggested. The problem was a bone defect that required an oral surgeon and I could not afford the quoted fee. I chose Cancun due to it being so close to South Florida where I live and the price quoted for having this procedure done there. I am so very glad I went there.The facility is state of the art, the staff is very professional and pleasant. I have to return in May or June for the abutment and crowns. The amount I shall save on the abutment alone will pay for the flight. My wife shall be returning with me. She, too, needs dental work. The more dental work a person requires the greater will be their percentage of savings. Get your best quote from your local dentist and give them a call. I believe you shall be in for a surprise. There is no reason for a person to lose their teeth if they can afford a small percentage of what the fee would be at home. When you get there say hello for me to Maggi and Drs. Irma and Omar

This was my third visit to Ocean Dental. I have had an implant, root canal, extraction, cleaning, and check up. the dental equipment was extremely modern, like none I've seen in Canada. There are even spa lights on the ceiling above your dental chair to ease anxiety.. The staff are amazing, very professional and friendly. It is a happy atmosphere. My dental work is beautiful, I am so pleased with my smile. The first time I visited Ocean dental, I came from Canada as a lone female. I stayed in cancun ( the dental office will assist you with accommodations if necessary). I felt safe and secure. The drivers are always on time to pick you up from your hotel, and take you back. They also provide airport transportation. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ocean dental. On top of it all, I was able to have my dental work done, stay in beautiful cancun for less than I would pay for just the dental work alone in Canada. Like many first timers to the idea of travelling to Mexico for dental work I was nervous, skeptical, and worried that I was making a huge mistake. It is now two weeks since my first appointment, I’m back home in the states and all I can say is “THANK GOD I DID IT!” This was the single most positive dental experience I have ever had! I needed a bridge replaced (the original one put in by an American dentist fell apart after 7 years) and in the end I needed a root canal on one of the teeth. The cost here in the states was quoted to me at around $6100. My final bill, which I paid happily, was $1575. Now, I was in a pickle as I had a broken bridge so getting it fixed was a must do. The difference between what I would have paid, sitting on the couch in my apartment pissed off at the outrageous cost of US dental work and what I actually paid in Cancun covered not only the flight from Seattle but 7 days at a luxury all-inclusive resort for my whole family. We had a great time and I will never forget the super nice people I met at CDS. Thank you! I will be back!

The idea of going to Mexico for dental restoration came about as a way of saving money. What you get at Ocean Dental Cancun may actually be better services than what we can get at home. First, they give more time to your work each day. Second, their lab is integrated into the practice, so I had an inlay, 4 implants and 2 crowns over teeth, one with a root canal, all completed over 4 days. Dr. Irma is leading a committed team of treatment and office professionals who work long days to give patients great service and results. After contacting 4 dental offices at home, and 15 in Mexico, it was only Ocean Dental Cancun Services that had the consideration and superior patient services department to special order implant parts, even though they had not put the implants in. No other office in either country would do this for me. And, I saved 65% on the dental costs. The team collaboration among the staff was something I have never seen, even during a career in health care in the USA. The need for a root canal was revealed mid-morning on a day of crown preparations. I had to wait only an hour to see the Endodontist, and then I got back with my restoration specialist, Dr. Cindell, who finished the 7 crown prep and impressions, all done in one day. The ride coordination was flawless with the transportation company. But, when my wife and I needed a ride to the airport on Sunday at 3 AM, the practice manager came from a wedding reception in his own car. Could you imagine service like that from your local dentist office?

I have had the opportunity to receive dental treatments at various clinics, 1 in Costa Rica, 4 clinics in Mexico. Ocean Dental is, without question, now "my clinic". I have come to the realization that some jobs can be done quickly, others cheaply.... at varying costs. At Ocean Dental we got first class treatment at a cost that was not dear, given the professional attention that was given. This was my 5th visit to Ocean Dental Cancun. Four years ago, when I heard about Dr. Irma from my friends, I knew right away that is the Doctor I badly needed. My teats never been the best, so in my life I visited a lot of different Dentists in Europe and North America. None of those Doctors as good and carrying like Dr. Irma. This Clinic, all Staff and Doctors are very amazing. Ocean Dental Clinic, right now CDS /CANCUN DENTAl SPECIALIST is the best equipped,elegant, clean clinic. Best of the best. In my opinion Dr. Irma is like "extinct" in this world. This Doctor has golden hands, magic touch and knowledge beyond imagination. In my case Dr. Irma did what was almost impossible -bone transplant and bone grafting, few roots canal, two bridges, seven implants, many crowns and much, much more. The final effect was stunning. I'm far away to be pathetic and I know this sound like "to beautiful to be thru". You need to experience to your own self to know what is like. I forgot to mention cost of all this dental work in my mouth. I paid 1/3 of what I would pay in Canada. If you ever decide to visit OCEAN DENTAL please be patient with Dr. Irma, other Doctors, assistants, all Staff. Those people work long hours, dealing with many different patients with different attitude and most of the patients have a difficult case. Dr. Irma staff are very high educated, knowledgeable and hard working doctors to make all patients as happy and satisfied as possible. Of course in this clinic some times are delays, but it is because about profesionalism and quality, not a Production, like in our clinic at home. Please remember that when you choose Dr. Irma Clinic. Both my husband and I have periodontal disease; the prognosis was grim. Implants/All on Four was the recommended long term solution, but with a price tag of $80 - $100, 000 CDN for both of us. Several "snowbird" friends who winter in Arizona just across the Mexican border suggested looking into having our work done in Mexico. My research lead us to Ocean Dental and since we already had a prognosis, I forwarded the information to them. I received a prompt reply with an estimate of the costs and options. Both my husband and I had full extractions; he had implants all-on-four and I had all-on-six. We staggered our surgeries with my husband having his a year ago then the restoration in May and I had my surgery in May and restoration this month. Even after flights, hotels, meals and other incidentals, we still saved $30-$40, 000. Hats off to the staff who are compassionate and professional in every way. Dr. Omar made a point of checking in on me, Dr. Raphael and Dr. Guillermo made every effort to keep me comfortable. (My heart really goes out to these professionals who are having to work on patients who are in very early stages of healing; it must be so stressful). They are very meticulous and don't be surprised if you have 6-7 people evaluating your face and smile to ensure that everything is aesthetically perfect. Having said that, perfection cannot be rushed so prepare yourself for delays. We did have a few bumps in the road, but we were able to reach a satisfactory compromise and Dr. Irma and her son, Andy, really went above and beyond our expectations. They genuinely want their patients to leave happy and smiling! I can't say enough about Dr. Irma's dedicated and hard working staff. The ladies at the front desk and Maggi are true ambassadors for the clinic. When is the last time you entered your local clinic and were greeted with a hug on a return visit? They are compassionate and empathetic and have a talent for smoothing things over with impatient patients. Memo and Diego are courteous and personable and get you safely to and from your appointments. To all the staff right from the call center to the support staff, dentists and lab techs, I thank you. We will return to Cancun for our annual check-ups and I will certainly be recommending Ocean Dental to anyone who will listen!

I just completed a process that replaced four lost upper molars (all requiring sinus lifts) and one lost lower molar with implants and crowns. As the team was finishing this process, they noticed a loose canine tooth that my Colorado dentist had told me I was going to eventually lose. Team members promptly advised me that they could save that tooth with minor surgery and a properly designed crown. I agreed to that recommended additional procedure and, two days later, was fitted with the additional (loose) tooth saving crown. I have been very pleased with my total set of experiences with CDS and the resulting "new" teeth. The staff are well trained, use current technology and approaches not observed with my Colorado dentists, are customer-oriented, and provide their services for approximately 1/3 of the costs quoted by my Colorado dentists. In addition, my dental insurer (Delta Dental)has covered these treatments and paid their share of the costs. I highly recommend considering CDS for your future dental work.

This year was my 4th visit to Ocean Dental in 3 years . If you have questions ask me . On my 3rd &4th visit I brought my son with me . He has seen Dr Irma and Dr Caro . After his 1st visit he said can I come back next year because the work Dr Irma did doesn't bother him like the work he had done at home . It was painless and he didn't have a rubber jaw when she was finished with him. This year he came back and he had Dr. Caro. I asked him which doctor was better? He said dad that would be an unfair question. They have both done wonderful work on my teeth. I know that since Dr. Caro was close to his age that he got along with her very very well. He is pleased with all of his work from Ocean Dental. he has had his teeth whitened, 2-root canals ,two crowns ,4-filings and of course his teeth cleaned every year in Cancun. When I first showed up three years ago I was probably like a lot of you that may be reading this? I had never been to Mexico, I had brought cash with me, I was staying at a good hotel, and just as promised ocean devil pick me up at the airport with a sign in their hands. I felt like a VIP traveler at the airport. Since it was Saturday I was taken to my hotel I relaxed in the water until Monday when Dr. Irma went to work on me. When I showed up I had had problems at a dentist in Cincinnati. They actually wanted to pull all of my teeth and have me get dentures. Dr Irma couldn't figure out why I would want dentures? She said you have good teeth they just are not very pretty. I can fix that she said. She wrote up a plan with an estimate and handed it to me I put my initials on it and she went to work. I was going to need to implant screws and crowns along with two bridges in the front. A laser whitening a few feelings I have a big problem that was growing in my jaw . The next day she had an oral surgeon removed the cyst that had grown in my jaw . Truthfully that was the most discomfort I had an all four visits to Cancun. He did a very good job and removed it and believe me it really was not as painful as what they put me through when they removed the tooth in Cincinnati. I think I was in the chair for six days straight. I never went with the gap in my teeth or anything ugly that someone could see while I was staying in Cancun . Dr. Irma made be temporary bridges until I got mine at the end of the week. Fact is everyone at the hotel thought the temporaries look just fine. On the last day I have all of my bridges and one implant and crown finished. I had to heal up and two months later I came back for the implant screw to go into the hole where the cyst had removed. I returned in the implant screw was put in place in November. Four months later I returned and had my implant crown placed on the abutment. That is when I brought my son with me for the first time. Then this year in February we returned again. I needed a huge filling that was done eight years ago in Cincinnati replaced with a root canal and a crown. This year we made our trip for 10 days. On Saturday morning as planned we both hit the dentist office first thing in the morning. Simultaneously we both got our crowns and left Ocean Dental with smiles like we have never had before. My son turned me on Saturday night and said dad in all of my 34 years we have never had a better time than this trip together to Cancun this year. Can we please return again next year dad? Going to the dentist has never been a time like this before. So if you have any questions at all please feel free to ask me. I will even call you and talk to you on the phone if you would like. I'm not paid to say this Dr. Irma saved my smile for me to enjoy the rest of my life. Fact is I really never had one until three years ago. My teeth were horrible as far as I was concerned. This was the best dental experience of my life. It's worth noting that Cancun is very safe even outside the Hotel Zone. We stayed at a nice gated apartment/condo with 2 bedrooms/3 beds, 2 bathrooms, washer/dryer, full kitchen, living room, dining room, 2 flatscreen TVs, a balcony and a pool. How to pick A Dentist in Mexico

If you are thinking about traveling down to Mexico to get your dental work done then there are a few things you should consider before actually taking your trip. There are a lot of skilled and qualified dentists all over Mexico. From the border states right on down to the Caribbean coasts.
When people have decided to travel for they're dental work, location is a very important factor.
There are more and more people from the U.S. and Canada who have been choosing the Mexican Caribbean as their destination over cities closer to their respsective borders. Such as Nogales, Tijuana, and Monterrey, to name a few places.
There are many reasons that people are choosing places such as Cancun and the Riviera Maya as their dental destinations. 4.  Look at the reviews about the dentist, search for patient testimony and video. This can tell you how satisfied the former patients were with their treatment, and help you decide if that is the right place for you.
5.  Look into the clinic itself. Their reviews, their ratings as providers on sites such as Dentaldepartures.com, Whatclinc.com. Try to search the respected sources for more accurate information. There are many clinics in the cancun area.You have anything from your big scale dental clinics who have huge staffs, to your "at home local" clinics with a small but caring staff.
People need to feel comfortable in their decisions, and with their dentist. For a lot of people this decision comes with a gut feeling, and of course after researching all the options.
When coming to Mexico for your dental work find your ideal location and go from there. There are many qualified dentists to choose from. Find the right one for you and have a beautiful vacation as well as get the smile that you deserve.
